Pet Sitting Services and Rates

Compared to boarding your pets, our rates are very affordable. 

Jack and Jill Pet Sitters has a simple pet sitting model: We go to your home and sit with your pets up to an hour per appointment.  In-home pet sitting allows your pets to feel comfortable, as they are in their home and their personal domain.  We are proud that Jack and Jill Pet Sitters is one of the best and  most personal pet sitting services in the Southlake, Grapevine, Colleyville, and Westlake, Texas.

Initial Consultation:  This is a get acquainted visit at (no charge).  We will come to your home to meet with you and your pets to personally explain how our pet sitting services work.  At this time we will find out everything needed to know about your pets.  This visit will take only 30 minutes and maybe longer depending on your needs.

Payment Options and Requirements:

Clients are required to pay in full on or before the day of the first pet sitting assignment.  Your confirmation emails are sent upon approval of your requests, and the invoice is typically emailed the day before the pet sitting assignment starts.  Several payment options:

Preferred Payment Option:  Pay with credit card via secured and encrypted client mobile app or portal called “Time To Pet”.  We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Amex.  During online registration you can securely input your credit card information into your client profile (once you click saved your information is encrypted, and we can only view the last four digits).  All credit card charges are processed through Wepay, a Chase company and you are emailed a receipt each time showing the total and breakdown of the charges.

Second Payment Option:  Checks (made out to Jack and Jill Pet Sitters), can be left for your pet sitter to pick up on the first visit, or can be mailed to the JJPS office prior to start of service.

Daily Midday Clients: Pay either weekly, biweekly or monthly using any method above.  Please let us know your preferred method of payment and frequency.

There is a $35 charge for returned checks.

Vacation Clients are required to pay in full at the beginning of the pet sitting job.  Your JJPS confirmation emails also serves as your invoice and offers several payment options:

Pet Sitting Services During Our Visit:

•     Refresh water.
•     Feed your pets.
•     Administer medication (if needed).
•     Exercise and play-time.
•     Clean litter box or cage.
•     Bring in mail and newspaper.
•     Take out trash (if needed).
•     Adjust lights/blinds.
•     Water indoor/outdoor plants .

Pet Sitting Services Rates

Our pet sitting services are typically 30 minute visits.  However, we offer longer visits and even overnight services.  This service is mainly used for vacationers or clients working long hours on the job, but their pets need attention during midday.  You may schedule 1-3 visits per day.  We understand with puppies, that four visits may be necessary and we are able to accommodate reasonable requests.

Dog and Cat Pet Sitting Rates: 

Cats: $18/visit (up to 3 cats); $3 each additional cat (30 minute visit)

Dogs: 
If 1 visit per day, then $20/visit (up to 3 dogs); $3 each additional dog
If 2 visits per day, then $19/visit (up to 3 dogs); $3 each additional dog
If 3 visits per day, then $18/visit (up to 3 dogs); $3 each additional dog
The above prices are for 30 minute visits
45 minutes — $25 (for 1-3 pets); $5 each additional pet
60 minutes — $32 (for 1-3 pets); $6 each additional pet
Quick Potty Break (up to 15 minutes for non-apartment residents only) – $15 per visit

Dog Walking Services:

• 20 minute walk $18 for up to two dogs ($10 extra for up to 2 additional dogs)
• 30 minute walk $20 for two dogs ($10 extra for up to 2 additional dogs)
• 45 minute walk $25 for two dogs ($10 extra for up to 2 additional dogs)

Overnight Pet Sitting Services

(Rate for Overnight Stay Assignments) Includes an arrival at 10:00 PM, overnight stay, and breakfast departure (7-7:30 AM). $70 for up to 2 pets ($5 per additional pet).

Dispensing Medication:

• Oral Medications: $3.00 each instance
• Injections: $5 each instance
• Fluids: $10 each instance

Last Minute Reservations:

To compensate our pet sitters and staff, who must adjust schedules to accommodate last-minute reservations Less Than 36 Hours Notice: $20 surcharge applies

Apartment Residents With Dogs – Includes feeding, providing water, medication (see below for pricing) and watering plants if necessary

• 20 minute walk    $18 for three dogs ($10 extra for up to 2 additional dogs)
• 30 minute walk    $20 for three dogs ($10 extra for up to 2 additional dogs)
• 45 minute walk    $25 for three dogs ($10 extra for up to 2 additional dogs)
• Two 20 minute walks per day rate  $17/walk
• Three 20 minute walks per day rate   $16/walk
• Two 30 minute walks per day rate   $19/walk
• Three 30 minute walks per day rate   $18/walk
• Two 45 minute walks per day rate  $24/walk
• Three 45 minute walks per day rate  $23/walk

• Pet chauffeur:  $20/hr
• Basic home checks:  $12/trip
• Locked out home:  $20/trip
• Key pickup (or return after a visit): $12
• Pet Errands:  $15/trip + cost of goods
• Hamster, birds and other critter care:  $15/trip

Cancellation Policies:  applies to all reservations booked and confirmed via email through our online reservations system.

Midday Dog Walks or Visits:
If you cancel your scheduled walk or visit by 10am on the day of the walk or visit, you won’t be charged.  Cancellations may be done via phone, email, or text to either your pet sitter or the JJPS office.  Walks or visits cancelled after 10am are charged at the regular walk or visit rate.

Vacation Visit Reservations:
Non-holiday periods  (times for which the holiday surcharge is NOT assessed):

• If your confirmed reservation total is Under $200, then the cancellation charge is $20
• If your confirmed reservation total is Over $200, then the cancellation charge is 25% of your job total

Holiday periods (times for which the holiday surcharge IS assessed):
Any confirmed reservation during the holiday period which is subsequently cancelled is charged a cancellation fee totaling 25% of the confirmed reservation amount.

Holiday Surcharge:
There will be a surcharge of $15.00 added  to reservations over the following holiday periods (it does not apply to regularly-scheduled Monday-Friday midday dog walks).  This surcharge is not added to every visit, but is once per day, and 100% of it is passed to your pet sitter to compensate her/him for time spent away from her/his family during the busy holiday period.
